Discover Tapolca: A Hidden Gem in Hungary

Hello everyone! Sooo it’s no secret, I love travelling, so I thought why not expand my blog a bit and share my travel destinations/guides with other people? Here you go, I’m not just beauty and lifestyle blog anymore, I’m also a travel guide too!

First up in my list of dreamy destinations: Tapolca in Hungary. Budapest is sooo overdone right? Visit this little town just 2 hours by car from Budapest, you can even eat lunch/dinner by a beautiful lake.

So how to describe Tapolca? I guess basically it’s a town with a huge lake in the middle of it. Okay, let me try to describe a bit better. Tapolca is a quaint little town, around 197 kilometers southwest of Budapest. It is lovely to spend a day here away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

How to get there

By car, it’s about a 2-hour drive from Budapest via Route 8 and Route 71. If you opt for public transport, there are trains/buses from Budapest, with the journey lasting around 3 hours.
